Silpada Fundraiser

The players are dedicated, said Craig Nichols, manager of the 10-year-old Jimmy Fund All-Star Team. Westborough's team is in district five, which is made up of 16 other area teams. – For Westborough's 10-year old Jimmy Fund All-Star Team, baseball is not all that matters. Nichols said many of the players have played on his team with the same group since they were eight years old. Off the field, they're giving back to the community and working to raise a record amount of money for the Jimmy Fund. Because the players spend so much time practicing and fundraising together, they've formed a strong bond and a true sense of camaraderie. Although the competition on the field is intense, it's just as great off the field. "They're well-rounded, great kids," Nichols said, adding that the parents are also supportive and wonderful people. The team aspires to raise as much money as they can for the Jimmy Fund. On the field, the boys are working hard to achieve a strong record and play some great baseball.

This is her second montage that she has put together of kids who have a CHD and the CHD Angels. Emma was born with a congital heart defect, Hypo Plastic Left Heart and went to be with Jesus at only 3 months old and now she watches over us. She changed our lives forever and made us a stronger family. We have two beautiful children, Emma who is an Angel in Heaven and Thaddeus who is an Angel on Earth. I came across a blog of Lauren who has a CHD-Congenital Heart Defect. It has been so fun to make and stressful since I can never make up my mind on which picture to use or the layout. Thanks Lauren for putting together this wonderful tribute to our children. I was lucky enough to stay at home with him for the first 8 months but unfortunately I had to go back to work.
