” The rings reported stolen include a tanzanite, ruby and diamond ring worth $1,300, a diamond solitaire ring worth $2,000, a ruby and diamond ring worth $1,045, and an emerald and diamond ring worth $1,575. According to the report, a woman said that seven rings totaling $7,725 in value had been stolen from her home. 26 at 6:05 p. m. According to the report, the responding officer spoke to a witness who claimed that two men were drinking alcoholic beverages in public. The responding officer approached the two men, later identified as Noel Liberty and Robert Brodwinske, reporting that both appeared to be intoxicated and both had a strong odor of alcohol on their breath. Police responded to a report of public consumption of alcohol at the train depot, 1501 Miner St. , on Jan. Because the officer did not witness either man drinking alcohol at the time, he instructed the men to go home, and both left the area. Police were dispatched for a theft report in the 900 block of South Webster Lane at 9:32 p. m. on Jan. The woman reportedly presented the responding officer with appraisals or receipts for all of the stolen items.
