NYC Fashion; Haute Couture Spring 2012 ..Chanel / Karl Lagerfeld

For a brief period in time, twice a year in Paris, the cognoscenti of fashion convene for the HAUTE COUTURE&hellip. Okay, so instead of fixing his eye on India, Karl fixed his eye on the color blue which is fine and still not overly exciting despite being shown in the &ldquo. That bell sleeve, which I find very Balenciaga rather than Chanel, is beautifully executed in any number of ways as is the ubiquitous portrait neck. Traditionally, this was the inspiration for the ready to wear collections which will follow in its heels in about 2 weeks&rsquo. and a very heavy dose of dropped waists. The dropped waits are fine but when you purposely draw attention to the hip line, by adding pockets, embellishments or even ruffles, things can get out of hand very quickly. Nevertheless, this is the time that these brands show off what they are made of &hellip. Times have changed and the calendars no longer allow for the influence unless a particular house also does ready to wear. The collection is dress centric with a heavy concentration of &ldquo. I was less than ecstatic about his passage to India a few weeks ago and I am not exactly bowled over by what I have seen in this collection. The latter can be very flattering.
Balenciaga Giant Brief – PurseBlog

Navy blue is one thing, but the blue I dislike tend to be any shade of medium or light blue, and baby blue in particular, which likely has something to do with my skin tone. Luckily (or perhaps unluckily, depending on how you look at it) for me, this Balenciaga Giant Brief is exactly that color. If only every blue were a Balenciaga blue… Buy through BlueFly for $1276. That Balenciaga can make me like a medium shade of blue is really a testament to their mastery of brights. This particular Balenciaga shape may be too big for some people, but when you take out the stuffing and allow it to slouch, I think it’s pretty great. I didn’t realize that that was the case until I recently cleaned out my closet in an attempt to rid myself of things that I never wear, and I found myself left with a pile of blue clothing.

A cocktail hat circa 1963 by Cristobal Balenciaga. Silk, tulle, feathers, plastic, satin weave. "The important thing is the rhythm," he drawls, in his urbane, slightly sauced way. His tuxedo is impeccable. "Always have rhythm in your shaking.

It's faintly ironic that Wasson has chosen to stay at Bondi during her brief trip to Australia, given that the customary local dress strives to emulate the authenticity of her thrown-together appearance. Whether they know it or not, her nonchalant
